Prayer of a Child of the Earth

Father, our protector,
keeper of the universe.

Give us a lower living standard,
but enough to eat.
Give us fresh water.
Let us breathe
unpolluted air.

Give us humans
and all living creatures
our daily bread.

But take away the big machines
and the institutions
ravaging the earth
and killing our friends, the trees.

Take away the horrible techno-monsters
which rob the hands of man
of work and peace of mind.
